In a busy, busy world, we all need to take time to breathe deep, and spend some time in
prayer and meditation, allowing God's Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts. Our Church stands ready to welcome you into
any of our worship and fellowship events.
Church Council Meeting on Sunday November 12,
2017 after the 11:00 AM Worship Service. The Agenda includes affirming Leadership Positions for 2018 and the 2018 Budget.
All Active Members may vote.
Child Shoebox Gifts are due at Church this Sunday, November 12th!
November 19th - Potluck Dinner after the 11:00 AM Worship Service, followed by a Craft
Day for children and adults! Bring a dish to share (maybe a favorite Thanksgiving food). There will be something
for everybody, so come prepared to have fun and enjoy the fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ.
December 3rd - Grace Miller School Christmas Bazaar in Bealeton. We will be providing free gift wrapping as a community service. Many children buy
presents for parents and other family members at this event and our gift wrapping helps keep their selections secret. It is
a good time to share the Good News about our Church and MCA! Kanoa Ratliff is the coordinator for this event.
Apple Fest 2017 was September 30th! Another great success for MCA & MCoB
Hurricane Disaster Relief:
What Our Church is doing to help -
Disaster Services - a Church of the Brethren program with assistance from the Church of God has been on the scene in
Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. Children's Disaster Service also was involved in the interagency response to the Las Vegas
Shooting incident and the California Wildfires events. CDS provides families with Child Care while they are applying for FEMA
assistance, are at shelters, and they help with the emotional trauma of the disaster on children. Our inter-denominational
partner, Church World Service, and Brethren Disaster Ministries will continue to ship many Clean-up Bucket kits, School
Supply kits, and Hygiene kits to help with all affected areas. Our congregation is assembled about 75 of these kits as part
of our Homecoming Celebration on September 16th. To find out how you can help with any of our disaster ministry, please contact
the Church Office at (540) 439-3016 or call Pastor Tim Monn at (540) 905-2182. Oh, and please pray for everyone touched by
the effects of these disasters, they need your compassion and God's help. Rebuilding teams are just beginning to
be involved at the Hurricane sites. Pray and help by supporting our disaster ministries.
Midland Christian Academy News:
1) MCA is open! Watch for
children as you drive in the area.
2) Renovations are complete
on the Church Sanctuary and the Ryan Building. (The Ryan Building will be renamed this Fall.)
3) The MCA Board of Directors has selected Peter Mannix as their choice to lead the
school. Mr. Mannix has excellent credentials and a terrific track record as an assistant principal and principal and
we are genuinely excited at having a man of this caliber available to us. The Board thanks everyone for their patience, prayers
and other expressions of support during our search. Please continue praying for the school and its students.

Our newly re-designed Youth Class
