Richard Wehrle – Our New Pastor
Pastor Richard Wehrle will officially begin his ministry at Midland Church of the Brethren on September 1, 2019.
Pastor Richard started his ministry at Sunrise Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg, VA in April of 2012 as the Interim Pastor and was called as the Senior pastor in July of 2013 where he continued to serve until being called to the Midland congregation.
Pastor Richard received his call to Ministry later than most as he did not grow up in the church. He was baptized into the church of the Brethren in 2002. He is passionate about telling others how God and a relationship with Jesus Christ has changed his life. He is also passionate about reaching out to the community in whatever way possible.
Pastor Richard is married to his lovely wife Mandy whom he has known since he was 16 years old, They were married in July of 2002. They have four children together Alexis, Dylan, Owen, and Kylie. It was after the birth of Dylan that Richard started to get a glimpse of what God had in store for his life. He attended the Christian Growth Institute in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where he completed his studies in 2012. He is currently enrolled as a student at Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Indiana where he is pursuing a Master's of Divinity degree with a concentration in Intercultural Ministry.
Areas of service include Church Planting, New Church Development and Evangelism, as well as being a board member for the Christian Growth Institute.
Pastor Richard gradutaed from Liberty High School in Bealeton VA and has strong ties to the community. He is excited about the opportinuty to give back and serve a community he calls home.
Caroline Anderson - Church Secretary
Caroline Anderson brings a cheery attitude and an optimistic outlook to work each day. Previously employed by BB&T, she also has a wealth of customer service and organizational experience. She edits and mails our newsletter, prints and assembles Sunday Bulletins, answers phones, and still finds time to be a comforting presence on the phone in an emergency. As time permits, she also assists MCA staff on the "Church side" of the campus.
